If Gore were tending his properties himself, Michael would probably be on his case for using government facilities and equipment (his office) for personal use.

Making good forthwith? He and his team found out about it worst case on Saturday. How long do you think it takes to have a toilet fixed if you're representing the Vice President of the United States?

Talk about blinded by ideological shades. I have little doubt if this situation had happened exactly the same way and George W had been the landlord. Your excuses would be far less forthcoming.

Even if I take all your points at face value. What does it say about Gore's ability to recruit and hire management talent?

I don't care what your job is, if you're a landlord making money renting property, it's your responsibility to manage it properly. And if you can't handle your responsibilities as landlord, or are unable to hire competent management talent to handle it properly for you, you should get out of the business.

Do you find something wrong with that premise?

Michael
