We are back to square one. I thought that I had already convinced you that lease prices - and not real estate prices - are legitimate components of inflation measurements. You brought up a valid point, that real estate prices still affect lease prices. True, but that (real estate prices) can at best be a proxy for lease prices. So, there is no reason to use real estate prices in CPI measurements.
