David:

Usually, they do take a while, but there has been subtle pressure on treasuries for a while now and the twin deficits have gone ballistic. At this stage, even a few players deciding to exit could coalesce into a rout very quickly. Recall how quickly the debt markets locked in the fall of 1998? It was truly incredible. This time around, things could get out of hand much more quickly.

Time will tell.

Best, Earlie
