One of your pals? "NASCAR Sponsor Big Daddy's BBQ Sauce & Spices Revs Up Marketing With Wal-Mart Deal

Business/Sports Editors

YUKON, Okla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2000--Big Daddy's BBQ
Sauce & Spices (Pink Sheets:BIGD) today announced the successful
launch of its mild and hot BBQ sauces in Wal-Mart Super Centers. The
made-in-Oklahoma products have been on the shelves of 60 of the Super
Centers in the South-Central states since mid-May. They will be in all
700 stores by the end of the year.
"Market acceptance has been fantastic. We've already had reorders.
Being in the Wal-Mart chain means tremendous growth for our company --
they don't just take any product. You have to have something
exceptional to be on Wal-Mart's shelves and we know we have an
exceptional product," said company CEO Dan Lloyd, Sr.
The distribution deal came about through Tree of Life Gourmet
Award Foods, the nation's leading marketer and distributor of natural
and specialty foods, which has added Big Daddy's products to its
selective inventory.
Big Daddy's BBQ Sauce & Spices products have been on the market
for two years. The origins of the sauces are as colorful and
distinctive as their black and white checkered labels. Company legend
goes that in the oil boom days, Dan Lloyd used to cook up a
celebration meal whenever he brought a well in. His homemade BBQ sauce
was so popular for its great flavor that he enlisted the expert help
of friend and chemist John Sheets to create a batch formula and go
into big-time production.
The mild and hot BBQ sauces made their public debut at a NASCAR
event two years ago when they were served up to over 3,000 people. Big
Daddy's continues to have a strong affiliation with the auto racing
circuit as the sponsor of teams at a number of venues.

BRAND HATCH HOPING FOR GREEN LIGHT TO STAGE GRAND PRIX
By Keith Poole, PA News
The British Grand Prix looks set to return to Brands Hatch after an absence of
nearly 15 years.
Planning permission was today granted by local councillors for the #20 million
re-development of the circuit, bringing it up to FIA standards.
It follows the success of Brands Hatch Leisure Group winning back the British
Grand Prix contract from Silverstone last year.
A planning condition was set handing the final seal of approval to John
Prescott, Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions.
Rob Bain, chief executive of Brands Hatch Leisure Group, said: ``This is a
historic day for British motorsport. We hope for a speedy response from John
Prescott to allow works to commence in time for the return of the British Grand
Prix to Brands Hatch in 2002.''
The last British Grand Prix was held at Brands Hatch in 1985 and the last
Formula One race to be staged at the venue was the European Grand Prix in 1986.
Nigel Mansell, whose racing school is based at the circuit, won both races.
Sevenoaks Council gave the thumbs-up to the ambitious proposals after imposing
a number of conditions relating to noise impact measures and proper management
of nearby woodland.
Council leader Cllr Alison Cook said: ``This prestigious international event
will bring substantial benefits and financial investment, tourism and jobs in
the area.
``The regional economy will be boosted by at least #30million a year,
providing new permanent jobs locally and major training opportunities.''
