Dow Jones Newswires -- June 7, 2000 Cisco Systems Vows To Fight Alcatel Suits Dow Jones Newswires NEW YORK -- A spokesman for Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) said the company will fight the patent infringement suits filed by Alcatel SA (ALA) "We will defend ourselves vigorously and also are prepared to assert Cisco's intellectual property rights and technology leadership," the spokesman said. He also described the lawsuits as slowing down progress in the industry.
