I think somewhere in the middle is a good place to be.
I have made 6 trades in 18 months, typically holding 30-45 days.
For me, it is a nice balance between holding it as an investment
and often seeing it go sideways, and excessive trading.

Strange statement. Bull Markets begin in disbelief and despair. Are you saying that Gold will never see a Bull Market again?
