From what I heard on CNBC, basically the judge just rubber stamped "approved" on everything the DOJ asked. This is what I expected would happen, and after hours trading shows no major change in MSFT stock price. One term of the judgement was opening up the API to all. This judge has been so biased from the beginning that I suspect that there is a good chance of some improvement in the terms for MSFT on appeal, though the 2 company deal will likely hold. I watched Janet "Killer" Reno on TV, talking in her flat monotone. She's about a foot taller than Joel Klein. They look like Mutt and Jeff, but sadly they are real world people in positions of power.
