re Pequot, they were known for not having a down month since inception. I think April broke that string. Nevertheless, Pequot does their homework. They are good and Dan Benton was the guy that got Pequot into all the key internet names very early on. They are one of the biggest commission shops on Wall Street. It will be interesting to see how they do now that they have $12 billion. They were the largest shareholder of BRCM right out of the gate and have made a killing on that position. +80% in '99 after fees and assuming $11-12billion in assets means they had something on the order of $3b in fee revenue last year. Figure they have had big inflows so its likely less than that but you still get a very big number. That is a helluva bonus for Arthur and Co.....
