Thanks, Squire Hawk. You are most helpful, as usual.

Speaking of that, you may have served the longest apprenticeship on G&K, mostly due to inclement market conditions that have diverted our attention from some of our more enjoyable thread traditions. As I informed you by PM, longtime G&Kers are most appreciative of your many contributions to our society, and would like to award you thread elder status as signified by a heraldic handle. You have elected to adopt the name, Plutus, the god of
Wealth, who is said to have been the first to introduce diligence into the life of men.

I am most honored to be the first to greet you as Sir Plutus.

uf

Sir Plutus:

It is with great pleasure and regard that I applaud your long overdue promotion to the Roundtable. Although you did a great job polishing the lances and cleaning out the stables, I know we'll be better off with you in your new position.

And I'll redouble my efforts not to mispronounce your name, accidentally referring to you as Pluto, or some such other peccadillo. <g>

Well done, and sincerest best wishes.

Apollo

FLOW RATIO and others!

StockHawk,

That Fool calculator for Rule Maker criteria is wonderful! Thanks for pointing us to it.

As clarification for everyone who didn't take the time to look at it, it's far more than a spreadsheet. It's an elegant fill-in-the-blank little thingy that allows you to input as little or as much information as you want. As an example, I tried using both of them by inputting only the data required for calculaating the Flow Ratio. Both worked fine. Had I wanted it to calculate other ratios, I could have input more information.

And best of all, you have the flexibility of letting the Fool keep the thing on their server or you can download it to your hard disk, both alternatives being absolutely free (which is better than just free).

If you didn't look at StockHawk's link, do yourself a favor and do so: fool.com

At that URL you'll find two more links. One of them allows you to figure stuff for one company at a time. The other one allows you to figure more stuff for many companies at a time.

P. S. Kay, you'll love it!
