Fuji(?) just announced a 6.3 megapixel camera and surely we will see 10+ not too long from now. Once these hit the market, that 650MB CD will no longer seem like overkill. What is overkill today is obsolete next year:-))))

Brian, you need to consider file sizes. File size does not increase in direct proportion to image resolution. I expect file sizes to remain under one megabyte per picture for the foreseeable future (unless you are a professional photographer shooting .TIFF's) given the need for Internet distribution and the difficulties executing even simple editing effects with large, cumbersome, minimally compressed files.

I don't see 650 MB of storage becoming obsolete too soon. Give it at least 18 months.
