The key to the Vertex deal is CISCO. A Mitel / Vertex gives Cisco exactly what they want for their next generation. It will build upon the products Mitel already has in Cisco's core. Don't believe me - listen to the conference - "a Californian router company whose first letter is C" indeed! You can be absolut Guaranteed that Cisco gave their blessing here - for that matter they could have even suggested the deal.Cisco has and is working with Vertex. Another interesting wrinkle to this deal is that Vertex has worked with Panasonic and Ericcson - small world eh ? Too those new to Mitel - Panasonic/Mitel = Bluetooth , and Ericcson / Mitel = IPERA . Guaranteed the market presented a fantastic opportunity yesterday to load up, while people were scratching heads about this deal .
