For tomorrow through whenever: ISLE and APW.. lovely charts and stocks. Triggers are my own, the stocks come out of the scans. Triggers are really just manually placed in Q-Charts or the Real Tick charts. The 'chart pattern' I am looking for comes from the scan, but the trigger is really just a confirmation of the "Reversal" candlestick or range expansion breakout day or breakout of a trendline, basing pattern, chart pattern (i.e. triangles, pennants, flags) or moving average...More confirmation is needed by one or more volume indicators and oscillators. There's more but that's on a thumbnail.

In my opinion its the 'fundamental'side of the technical analysis that nabs the best movers. I was reading in the paper today about the volume breakout on RHAT.. Its all well and good, but what is RHAT worth to investors after selling off from 150 down to 17? And is EOG really that boring when its the chart of RHAT turned upside down. Not likely. I chose EOG over RHAT for the longer haul.

When the sector sells off or there is any negative news on even one of that group, the whole group pays. So its a combination of sector strength, fundamentals and technicals with different 'weights' for each criteria.
