SunAge,

Sadly, the system tends to deter those most qualified. The Board would probably insist that Mr. Harmon not have Level II at his presidential desk. And I have a feeling negotiations would stop right there. ;~}

Mr. Icahn should be bright enough to see the need for a competent banker in the field, and a couple of handshakes should get him one. I'm with Rick: take a few minutes time out from munching a cracker company and do something, Carl. Get on that cell phone. I'm in and I'm ready, too.

Cheers, Tuck

Chuckle. Hey, I safely reside here in "non-put up or shut up" land. It's too comfy to venture out and risk, while actually doing something, looking like a fool.

<g>

Your point (and that of Tuck) is well taken, however. Investors often have a better grasp of the sector, overall, than its management teams. There are exceptions, of course.... one would profit from just following MLNM management around, picking up the discarded morsels.

But hey! We're just a bunch of jerks on the bulletin boards.

<g>

Cheers!

Rick
