Just finished watching the "Charlie Rose Show" on PBS. Joel Klien and William Nuekom. My impression- You'll only get your money out of this company if you get rid of Gates, Ballmer and Neukom. This is all just a game they're playing.

Exactly that is also how I felt it, though I started with CP/M and DOS, didn't learn about Unix or Linux before last year.

MSFTs problem is, that the desktop is now invented, and it is pretty hard to make it better so that people will notice. The similarity between KDE, Gnome and Windows is big, and my wife just uses computers, she doesn't think much about whether she uses the Linux box or the Windows 2000 box. She doesn't care.
