That really happened, but the part of the story they left out was this. Originally CSCO offered Tom just CSCO stock. He said no, gfy. They countered with 1 bill and bukoo stock. Again, Tom didn't bite. Then they got busy and figured on 2.3 bil plus bukoo stock and a piece of land in Alaska where the salmon still run, and then he signed. See, Tom was a smart man - he knew that in the coming debacle land and fish would be worth more than nets, lines, csco stock, and even cash.
