Oh, boo!

But, our reading wasn't that far off. If the fiber can generate a low voltage signal, then it can generate a larger voltage. Unless of course it's pulling power off the grid to do its deeds. But, they say explicitly that they will "convert" the light to electrical energy. :o(

I'll tell them, and blame you! <not!>

btw--I read the release, and came away with the same thought you did. It's an idea I'd never thought of, and it seems so obviously a very attractive solution. Too bad it doesn't exist yet!
