I have to agree about the basket height. Maybe they should make it 11 feet. That still makes it possible to dunk, but only for a few.

The reality is, however, that dunks are crowd pleasers. And the NBA is all about pleasing the crowds, who buy the tickets, and who watch the advertising that the sponsors pay to the TV stations, and in turn the stations pay the NBA millions of bucks for TV rights. So the NBA is about the fans, not necessarily the sport.

But that being said, Shaq is unstoppable. Smits is 3 inches taller than Shaq, but he can't do it like my man Shaq. Sabonis was a much better matchup for Shaq and damn they almost won that series. Portland is a true contender. Indiana goes down in five games.

Love college basketball cause there is more pure shooting like the days of Jerry West and Elgin Baylor.

uh, steve . . . . Jerry West played only for the "Hollywood Lakers," starting the same year the team moved here. And Baylor played in Minneapolis only two years, playing another 11 years in LA.

So you must like the "Hollywood Lakers" more than you admit.
