Adaptive allocation for variable bandwidth multicarrier communication If I had to guess (And I know I will probably get flogged by the Techies here), it is a patent for gaining more efficient data transfer through the duration of the connection by monitoring the noise ratio of each sub channel throughout the connection. It seems pretty basic to me. I am not sure how big it is. Pairs of bit allocation tables are maintained at the transmitter and receiver and one table of each pair at the transmitter and receiver is updated while the other pair is in use for controlling communication. B. means for repetitively calculating trial noise margins across a set of constellation signal to noise ratios used in assigning data to said channels, Perry P.
