The PC will run home entertainment. There will be no TV's or stereo systems, just content piped from the PC to monitors and speakers. This will end up being a cheaper alternative than the present approach.

I hope you are right. In order for that to happen, the PC (server) makers have to become as good at consumer marketing as the consumer electronics companies are now. Another option is that those entertainment devices will become "Internet appliances". Sony PS2 is a good example of a convergence consumer electronics product, and Sony has the marketing skills and muscle to make it sell. But is PS2 a PC?
