playa, that has not been reported....some of us on this thread were suspicious of that investment as when you listen to on24 broadcast they note it at the end of a gnet news report ......(letting the listener know they might have some bias I guess ..probably a disclamer mandated by some law).

I asked Mark Peterson about this issue as a question on this thread and he never responded....perhaps there is some kind of quiet period associated with that investment....

kind of odd one law forcing them to tell us and another forcing them not to tell us.

here is the link you found

ON24 Secures $25 Million in Second Round Funding Led by U.S. Venture Partners, with Reuters Greenhouse Fund and CNET Networks, Inc.

New Funding Will Be Used to Enhance ON24's Personalcast Platform, Initiate Branding and Marketing Campaigns, Strengthen Editorial Staff and Expand its New York Presence
SAN FRANCISCO, - ON24 Inc., the financial PersonalcastSMNetwork for online investors, today announced the close of its second round of funding totaling more than $25 million. The new round of funding, led by U.S. Venture Partners (USVP) and including Reuters Group PLC through its Greenhouse Fund and CNET Networks, Inc., will be used to create the services and resources to enable ON24 to become the standard for streamed audio and video financial news and analysis. Also participating in this round are existing investors, Canaan Partners and Rho Management, as well as Merrill Lynch, Go2Net, Comdisco and Amicus. Previous and current investors in ON24 include Jim Barksdale of Barksdale Enterprises, Jim Bidzos of RSA Data Security, Steve Harmon of eharmon zero gravity, Yosi Amran of Valicert, and EarthWeb.
"We are pleased to partner with investors of this caliber, and view their backing as a validation of ON24's leadership in the personalized financial news space. ON24 is defining a new medium with its proprietary personalized broadcast or 'Personalcast' model of financial news delivery," said Sharat Sharan, CEO, ON24. "It is a significant leap beyond the traditional model of broadcasting, which is one source of information for millions of investors. Personalcast reverses this 'one size fits all' standard by customizing the news to the individual who is receiving it, while providing multiple perspectives on each story with constantly updated financial news, expert commentary, CEO interviews and conference coverage."
"Investors don't want, nor do they have time, to sit through long broadcasts waiting for news and information that affect their portfolio," stated Irwin Federman, General Partner, U.S. Venture Partners. "They are demanding not only quicker, but deeper information that is personalized to their portfolio. ON24 is the only network on the Internet that gives investors access to exclusive conferences, CEO conversations and multiple analyst perspectives."
"ON24 has established an early lead in the market for streaming audio and video financial news and analysis. We look forward to working with them in developing ways to distribute Reuters content over their broadcast network," said John Taysom, Founder and Co-CEO of Reuters Group PLC's Greenhouse Fund.

playa I think this company, Actinec, may amongst other reasons, have picked Authorize.net because they do lots of business in the UK and authorize.net is probably good at the cross currency stuff from its experience with planet payment.....this will add more international sales sites to authorize.net growing collection

siliconinvestor.com

on a side note how could a company call themself "Actinec"...sounds like a treatment for a major zit problem
