Yeah, but even though the total number of pins on a RIMM is higher than that on a DIMM, each RDRAM sits on the same channel. That's why the channel is much narrower, and that's what really counts. In contrast, each SDRAM device constitutes a separate part of the channel, so when you add things up, the channel is wider and tougher to route.
