Guess not. One of the things that people forget when they lie is that details are revealing, and unless the person they lie to is pretty ignorant, or they have done their research, they ought to keep it short, sweet, and general. Had he simply said that he was out of the room for awhile because he needed to use the facilities, no one would blink, but he adds specific details that do not make sense. If someone asserts that he went to London, what do I know? But if he says he visited Piccadilly Circus and really enjoyed the clowns, he is busted!
