Albert, Yougang, WOW! Very bullish report! Here are several point worth noting,

---the company has signed three new long-term flash contracts with Siemens, Nortel, and Philips. These contracts are similar in structure to the ones the company already has announced in 1Q:00 with Samsung, Cisco, and Alcatel. Our understanding is that these three new contracts totaling in excess of $1.5B in future flash sales over the next 3 years...

There is no other company in our mind who is executing better in flash than AMD.

---The company we understand now will be paying taxes possibly as soon as the current quarter [[earnings should be very good, this at least a full quarter earlier than what they said just 6 weeks ago!!!]]

---the company's stock will continue to set new highs moving forward.

Very nice report. I just hope we finally eat through all the supply between $87 and $87.5 so we can move higher.

Mani

Yougang...That Chase H&Q report was indeed very bullish. This point:

* We are raising AMD to a Strong Buy rating from Buy and reiterate our 12 month price target of $150 or 27 times our FY01 EPS estimate of $5.50.

I think we'll meet or beat that figure by the end of the third quarter. Most of these analysts had AMD at a high for the year of 36 to 50 dollars just three or four months ago. Looks like they'll be raising the estimates another multiple or two within 4 months.

Thanks to you and Albert for this.

Those are huge long term contracts AMD has. 1.5+B + 300M Alcatel + 400M Samsung + ?? Cisco = very good time for flash. ;)

It is good to see analysts finally looking at AMD's flash and actually talking about it more, rather than saying "flash is good, but everything depends on Athlon."
