Hi Michael,

Any thoughts about KSS as a put candidate?

Richard

Mike/Earlie/All:

I dont believe the FED has wiggle room. AG will want to leave it loose as a goose, but the PPI and CPI numbers are going to hurt. He may ignore them but only at peril of the dollar. I dont doubt that he doesnt want to tighten, I just dont think he will have any choice. If he misses a quarter point here, he doesnt get another chance until august. I think the slow down doesnt buy him any wiggle room either. Our trading partners are the only reason the dollar is strong. If we stop consuming their goods, they may be less inclined to support our dollar. Especially as it becomes obvious that they will have better returns at home. Finally, I think the ECB's half point rise sends a shot across the bow which will also force AG to defend the greenback.

That said, (and I know you like currency calls) its just I am not familiar with that technique yet. So do you like any puts ? I already own the financial and technology index but am considering rmbs (aug 120 if I can get at 2) and IBM july 110 as it appears that the momo managers want to support it well.

PS Where is the HiTech strategist this month, I have not received mine yet.

thanks in advance oh odorous one (or was that omnicient one?)<g>
