Saw that yesterday and noticed they use repeaters. Here is a clipping.

"The GoLong solution uses a patent-pending, repeater-like device deployed in the long loop to provide the additional boost the ADSL signal needs to extend its range - without compromising spectral compatibility. The product uses industry standard repeater housings and is powered using line power."

My question is if they really have something patentable. The repeater idea has been used for along time on the POTS and has been looked at by every xDSL tech. company around.

They go further by saying...

Symmetricom will sell its GoLong solution directly as well as through ADSL DSLAM vendors and is currently in discussion with several DSLAM vendors. The product is currently in lab testing and will be field tested in late fall to finalize product specifications. Together with its partners, Symmetricom plans to share results of this testing with various standards committees at appropriate times. Commercial availability is scheduled for the first half of next year.

Sounds to me like investor fodder.
