I'd need the energy from the entire state of Texas to provide fuel for a Hummer. What would I do with it, anyway, roll over a few parked cars? No dunes nearby, no flooded out war zones, no cross-country ---- the entire NorthEast of the state has been developed. Used to be farms nearby when I was growing up. Now the nearest farm may be 50 miles away.
