Hi multicollinearity; Actually, I gave links to the vast majority of INTC posts mentioning RDRAM from the past few days. Why don't you prove me wrong by showing all the glowing posts on the Intel thread about Rambus? While it is normal for RMBS shareholders to wear blinders about the damage their company has done to other companies, the same is not true of Intel shareholders. They are quite well aware of the management error that put them into their current predicament. (The blinders they wear are with regard to Intel's situation, rather than that of Rambus.)

In addition, those 9 (or whatever) posts are all from different posters. Some of them are well known to be Intel bulls from years back. The same sentiments have been repeated numerous times in the press. Do you really mean to suggest that they don't exist, and that Intel shareholders are happy with you guys?

LOL! <..good example of why your ability (or willingness to) reason soundly and draw logical conclusions is in question.>

And your ability to comprehend the information is
out of question.:) :)

<You have taken 9 posts from more than 104,000 on the INTC board and assumed that they are from INTC shareholders. Obviously posting on the INTC board does not imply that one is an INTC investor.>
Obviously you have not been around here for a while.
Every one here knows for two years (at least) that most of
the people quoted by Carl ARE hard-core Intel
bulls (with exception of Jim maybe, and I am not sure
about chic_hearne).

<Furthermore, you have used "anecdotal evidence" consisting of 9 conveniently selected quotes that serve your purpose in an attempt to have us draw an invalid inference about how INTC shareholders in general feel about RMBS. >

I would strongly suggest you to conduct some research
before making your silly accusations. The point you
are deliberately trying to miss is how the opinion
of those bulls has changed recently. You probably
should take into account that most of those guys never
criticized Intel technical politics in the past.

Did it ever come to you that maybe those 104,000 posts
were written mostly by those 9 guys? In this case your
attempt to build something like the 100,000:9
statistics leads certainly to "an invalid inference".
For you :)

<I find your resorting to these tactics juvenile at best. How about a little professional honesty, since you are obviously a bright guy who doesn't have to stoop to these levels.>
How about some grown-up professional, not
"multicollinear", thinking?

Happy investing,
- yours "Quasi-attractor".

multicollinearity,

You have taken 9 posts from more than 104,000 on the INTC board and assumed that they are from INTC shareholders.

The significance of the 9 posts he selected is that they were posted within last 24 hours. Of the posters, all except chic_hearne are INTC shareholders.

Joe

Re: You have taken 9 posts from more than 104,000 on the INTC board and assumed...

I've read the messages on the INTC board for a long time - all of them.

The INTC longs now hate rambus and the idea of rambus. Tenchusatsu and Elmer work for Intel and used to be big rambus fans.

Rambus has caused horrible problems for Intel and those who depend upon the company as investors (or work for it) are furious. Intel has gone from being an invincible machine to looking like the keystone cops - and sales and profits there have stopped growing.

Don't listen to me, go back 1000 or 2000 posts on the INTC board and start reading. If you actually have money in this stock, you owe it to yourself. It's work, but it has to be done. Just settle down in front of your computer over the weekend, and read the Intel board.
