i'll take a guess at that question...

the wto deal with china...

a final shove to improve demand in Japan...(which will help the region)

and the Eurozone along with Latin America... All to enough of a degree to offset a decline in US demand...

it's weak.... no flames please.

Joan, that is indeed the question...however, it can be easily seen that the US current account deficit can not expand indefinitely. there's a limit, and i think to restore balance quite a bit of a slowdown will be needed. we will see if other economies will be able to take up the slack for a while...unless you believe they're all basically basket cases anyway, it should be possible.

regards,
