You are dead on target with that comment. RMBS is currently the only pure memory play in the market. It has
licensed products ramping exponentially as a result of Sony and Intel. The revenue and profits provide the
fundamentals for the stock.

There is no DDR pure play in the market and no platforms based on DDR. There is nothing to discuss from an
investment point of view about these other prospective product technologies. The matter can be picked up again
when there is a real product based on another technology.

While this is true, some of the bulls here might consider by hedging their bets with VIA stock. VIA is very strongly supporting DDR, with 6 chipsets announced now. (An integrated solution, a desktop, and a multiprocessor, each in an AMD and Intel flavor.) VIA, like Rambus, is fabless, so the direction of their current research makes them a pretty good DDR play.
