As Michael Caine is leaving the town, he tells his friend: "Kill the priest, he is your real enemy" In Latin America, the church has much to be blamed for both, the treatment given to the natives in the past, and for the present uncontrolled population explosion that is killing any possibility for progress in Lat Am. Studying this would give you an idea of the disgrace and poverty under which these families live, and the influence the Catholic church exercises over them... I am not sure it would allow you to understand it... re: your list... - educate our kids; Much cheaper than maintaining an adult under welfare.
