A few people use guns criminally so outlaw them for everyone.
You either misread my position or choose to lie about it. I have not proposed outlawing guns, I just support the common sense provisions that weapons should be in the hands of citizens of good character and that those owners should periodicly demonstrate that they are still in control of their weapon.

The use of guns is not even arguably protected by the Constitution. The ownership and use of alcohol must have been considered protected by the Constitution or it would not have been considered necessary to have a Constitutional amendment to prohibit alcohol, a simple statute would have been sufficient.
