AGP and PCI not working together is not true (unless there is something special about you Dell set-up).

Voodoo3 2000's are very inexpensive now and make a good 2nd videocard (PCI).

James, it varies from system to system, but what i've found is that video cards w/ the same chipset (ie, one pci, other agp) can work together. Some folks claim to have configured cards w/ different chipsets in a system. However, I've tried that numerous times without any success.

I use an appian j3 quad, if you're still intersted, try this place

good luck

Dell gave you incorrect information. I have a Matrox 400 AGP card plus 2 different PCI cards. I run 4 monitors with no problem. The only issue may be which monitor is primary. When I tried to set one of the AGP monitors as primary it wouldn't recognize the other monitors. When I set 1 PCI monitor as primary all 4 monitors work fine. Make sure you have 2 available PCI slots. I was short one, so I removed the PCI modem and replaced it with an external serial modem which is only a backup to my cable modem. Hope this is helpful.

Regards .................Alan

You should look at the Matrox G200 MMS - It can support 4 monitors from a single agp card

James,

Matrox and Voodoo3 2000 very stable on my machine. Some combinations of video cards will NOT work well together as my graveyard of video cards will attest to!

Are you running W2K or W98?

Sue :))
