Cyclicals are priced for a a modest slowdown, but not a recession or anything close.

You may be right, but I am going to wait with stocks like IP. If we look at their trading value vs the RTC days; IP is still expensive. I believe they may be priced for a "soft landing", but I will wait to purchase. I am not so sure that we will have a "soft landing". It would not surprise me if we have a mess similar to the RTC, since the kids in this part of the US are up to their ears in debt and I suspect a fair amount of property gets turned back to the financing institutions before it is all over.
