Gopher Broke,

You surprise me. Don't you believe your own predictions? I think it is much too soon to cap off Jan calls. I am looking for AMD at $200 by year end.

Spreads can be very profitable, and are less risky. You can deploy the proceeds of the short portion of the bull call spread somewhere else (for example if there is a correction, in short term options).

Comment: Pessimistically I'm looking for $150 by year end...optimistically I'm looking for $300...The only time I'll consider selling calls is when we get that serious runup...i.e $120 by the end of June...then I will consider only...My comments about selling calls are made within the contexrt of $97 3 days ago at which time I could have sold June calls if I wasn't so convinced based on every indicator available to me that AMD was headed for triple digits this week! Note: I have no intention of selling my Oct 70 and Jan 80 calls until AMD is much higher!
