With that line of reasoning, you should short Intel.

I don't think chic's line of reasoning should result in shorting Intel. Intel is a huge and very profitable company that can easily overcome the Rambus misstep, without the investment community even noticing that Intel is in the middle of correcting a huge problem.

But the few percentage of market lost by Intel to AMD in the meantime, (or of new growth not captured) can mean a lot of upside for a tiny company such as AMD.
