Always welcome -- and glad my number gathering/playing could help resolve a misunderstanding regarding our mutual interest in AMD and why it has been so interesting.

PT,

Appreciate the info but it does not resolve the issue for me. My goal is not to win an argument with Mani or anyone else. My concern is my investment.

First, I don't feel it matters if there was a new high the day after the change in estimates.....word does not get out in one day.

Secondly, the markets may have impacted AMD during the past two months but that's new. When the Naz tanked, starting March 10th, AMD hardly budged; in fact it went on to make several new highs. Most other stocks crashed. So the fact that AMD now is being effected by the markets is a concern.

Having said all that, maybe there is no problem....the disparty between the two consensus estimates may turn out to be a temporary blib. Nothing is clear to me right now.
