The new-economy economy isn't slowing along with the rest. Growth in the new economy companies isn't interest-rate sensitive because they are productivity-driven. In fact growth is accelerating for many. However, the stocks are sensitive to long-term because the discount factor changes, and importantly they are high-beta stocks which suffer badly during periods of lower liquidity.

BTW, the kind of inflation we have (very mild) is ideal background for emerging growth stocks.
