RESEARCH ALERT-Dell buy reiterated NEW YORK, June 8 (Reuters) - Bear Stearns repeated its buy rating on Dell Computer Corp. <DELL.O> Thursday, noting that the company's chief financial officer told Bear that the quarter is on track, with no sign of weakness in the U.S. consumer or commercial personal computer market. -- CFO also said there were no component availability issues. -- in the private meeting analyst Andrew Neff got the sense Dell is successfully "coming to grips with the fact that it is the biggest show in town" and that management appears to have greater control of the business as momentum builds around a number of facets of the business including servers, workstations, "beyond the box," and its Internet Infrastructure initiative. -- looked to the company to be more aggressive in forming alliances and assuming industry leadership. -- said thinks Dell is taking the right steps to be a premiere provider of Internet infrastructure, a huge market that the company expects to reach $370 billion by 2003. -- maintained its 2001 earnings estimate at 93 cents a share and 2002 estimate of $1.20, based on strengthening corporate market, more favorable component pricing and availability.
