QUALCOMM has reserved the right to adjust its license terms and conditions, including increasing its royalties, for those companies that delay in entering into a license with QUALCOMM.

Did Maurice write this PR? LOL

QUALCOMM will aggressively enforce its patent rights around the world and unlicensed companies that supply products for 3G CDMA systems, such as WCDMA, as well as companies that use such products from an unlicensed
supplier will be infringing QUALCOMM's patents.

The whole piece, especially the part mightylakers quoted and the above reads to me like a "shot across the bow" to the fud-meisters. The gauntlet has been thrown down. It looks like "put up or shut up" time has come.

A few of the people who I respect most on this thread have noted how Qualcomm quietly goes about its business while the fud-meisters spin their stories. Well it looks like something has changed.

At the risk of reading more into this than their is, I would say Qualcomm is ready to rumble - up front and in public.

PS to Maurice: have you been doing some PR writing for Qualcomm and not telling us? This reads a little like your rants <ggg>.

PPS - I wonder if this release will show up on CNBC tomorrow?
