Haim, It is you that has this wrong. you are looking at the very top of the real estate market and making claims of inflation. There is a simple supply and demand market with limited properties and lots of $$ bantering about. It is not going to be one incident, but rather the entire premium real estate market until demand is dropped due to a lack of free money.
Do you think that people that have made hundreds of millions in the market care about 10 or 20 million for a choice piece of property? there was a piece of land sold last year on Nantucket for 7 million. The guy was interviewed and asked about his investment. He laughed, saying that he deserved more credit than that than to consider this purchase an investment. He bought it for his family to enjoy and did not care if the entire market fell out from under it.
