I think specialty retailers look good here, having been beaten down to small fractions of their highs. I've been accumulating ANF in the last few days.

With the energy situation the way it is, if you missed oil
and gas then you missed the real underpriced stocks.

If you don't believe that, look at what XTO, APA, BR, UPR,
MRL, RIG, FLC, OEI and others have done since February.

The oil glut and low prices resulting from the Asian
problems of 1997-1998 coupled with a bad OPEC decision
to raise production back then have lead to a serious loss
of oilfield workers. Now we have supply constrained by
the lack of trained people.

The price of energy has just begun to rise. Watch natural
gas prices this winter. If you live in the NE you might
want to be sure you have backup. If we have a more normal
winter, there won't be enough gas to go around.
