Chief!! I THINK WE GO DOWN SOMETIME NEXT WEEK.

Good Morning impristine. We have clearly proved this thread is not for "thinking"! It is a thread of 100% commital, so I think the world will end on Tuesday doesn't count here. You must state clearly. The world will end Tuesday!!

Secondly when you say go "down" you are leaving yourself in a position of not being wrong...thats reserved for that "other thread". This thread requires you either to be clearly right or clearly wrong.

So if the market were to rise to 4100 next week, and then pullback to 4030 then you could claim you were correct, which is the "other thread" trick.

So in the spirit of joining us as "idiots that can be wrong", I must ask you for a number that we will go down too...in the next week. Don't forget to use lots of decimal places like 3768.234589 so that it gives the appearance of significant thought.

We give credit to those who are right in the forecasts and declare them "guru for a week" and those that are wrong, are declared "dork for a week".

I am proud to say that I won the first weekly "dork of the week" award two weeks ago. It is proudly displayed alongside my "Oscar" for "flamingo dancing while trading on 8 international exchanges in my Pyjamas, while eating a three day old sandwich"!

Secondly impristine. The "blue/red line charts are a patented diagnosic tool of theonion.com

The chart police could come after you in a nanosecond. The chart police are out of work "Language police officers from Quebec Canada"!

I must admit though your chart seems to indicate a subtle change in the put/call ratio. I will seriously have to consider this one in my calculations as it is obviously correct because;

a) its in colour
b) there are decimal places attached to some of the numbers, but not enough to give it 100% credibility
c) it has its own URL

It lacks credibility in the following categories;

a) there are no ancilliary lines that are unexplained
b) the legend does not include a whole bunch of meaningless statements
c) their are no "pennants/flags/H&S/reve H&S/ trend lines etc etc
d) their is no supporting data from at least 3 other charts
