I have just nominated, seconded the motion, and unanimously elected Dr. Irwin Jacobs our Supreme Curmudgeon.

Anyone who can nominate, second the nomination, and unanimously elect the Supreme Curmudgeon should be the Supreme Curmudgeon. Add your questionable sense of humor to those powerful criteria and you're a dead ringer for the job.
