The article didn't lead me to that conclusion at all Steven. It did shed some light on the beliefs of one of the founders of "Planned Parenthood". And it leads me to wonder whether the other founders were also Nazi's? Given the way Hitler wanted to create a genetically pure race, it's possible when the war ended that those people found roots in an organization such as planned parenthood which supports abortion.

That doesn't mean that *everyone* supporting abortion or planned parenthood today is a Nazi. To me, that's like saying,

1. Pat Robertson is a fundamental Christian.
2. Pat Robertson supports _______ pro life organization.
3. Everyone who is pro-life is a fundamental christian who believes as Pat Robertson does.

Although I have seen a few people around the boards of SI go down this road when discussing abortion. It's just as invalid a path as the one you've shown.

What do you think of the way in which China implements its "one child" policy?

Michael

I don't think Margaret Sanger was A Nazi. Like most people of her time she was prejudiced- and she was not as prejudiced as MOST people of her time. She was an elitist, she was a leftist, and she probably liked the idea of eugenics (as most people of the middle and upper classes did)- but she did NOT approve of what the Nazis did and she was not an antiSemite (and in fact I believe a few of her lovers were Semitic). That article was just silly.

But of course I've read two (probably biased!!!) biographies about Sanger, and then we have this amazingly unbiased article! WHO to believe? What a QUANDRY I'm in.
