Steven, you and I think similarly. Like you, I have had direct experience as far as living in third world countries and I KNOW that regardless of any statistics, we are facing deep cacatoo (the bird that announces lower standards of living, at best). Yes, the Catholic church (and other churches as well), bear a great deal of responsibility for this and other problems in the third world. How much I would like to see a smart attorney take on the Catholic church in order to seek compensation to the victims of their devotion to "higher beings". I would be willing to bet that the Catholic church has caused more deaths than "evil" Phillip Morris itself.
