O/T - Rande, I am on cable also and have access to the same servers through dial-up........sometimes the the LAN "party-line" gets so congested I switch to dial-up and find it more responsive........sure hope someone is working on a solution.

OT - rande, yea, I suffer thru the phone modem hell on a daily basis. Really frustrating. SOme days it is ok, others, well . . .

I'm still living in DSL hell (on to my 3rd order to try to have someone install this - waiting 2 months and counting on the current order) (and the thing is I know I can get it, albeit just IDSL at 144K). And if ATT would quit spending all their money advertising cable internet access here and actually spend more building it, then I would have another option. So for now, I sitsufferring thru usually a 21k dialup connect daily (yea, can't even get 56K on my crappy phone line)

PS - just one reason why wireless broadband, like that which SprintBroadband has rolled out in Phoenix, will eventually be the most successful IMO
