Joel, good question...but then, that's in the nature of surprises...they tend to surprise everyone.

Joel, a thought just crossed my mind...could it be that stock prices are actually falling today? 'seasonally adjusted'?

i heard that electricity futures in certain regions went totally bonkers last month, and electricity providers have been raising contract prices by a good amount.

can anyone confirm this? i mean BLS just reported a 'seasonally adjusted' 1,5% decline in electricity prices, so perhaps i imagined this (non-government) report as well...

regards,

hb
