Polar Bear/Ram: I can see you guys are excited about Durban. Then you must be long the stock too? This is an issue I've been looking to acquire for what I expect is a strong move coming in gold. I like the volume and tight spreads, unlike Harmony and a few others. With the size of reserves and resource they have, this could be quite a takeover candidate in a strong market. I think I'll nibble, unless someone convinces me otherwise.

Dale

I have never seen this announcent made publically before...so I don't believe it is true. Does anyone believe otherwise ?

<<At press time DRD had announced it would acquire Consolidated African Mines' 28% shareholding in Randgold & Exploration company and 64% of JCI Gold in a share and option deal. Details were thin but the deals were seen as a major step towards the ultimate consolidation of South African miners JCI Gold, CAM, DRD, Randgold & Exploration and Randgold Resources. The acquisition stands to lift DRD's production profile to 1.9 million oz per annum and it's exposure to the spot gold price. >>
