I mostly agree with you Delphic. I am selling more high fliers. . . except for a few that I have started core positions in. . .like PMCS, etc. or biotechs like CRA. Also holding the small caps that we stole at bargain prices. . .preferring to play them long, rather than trade in and out. Now that sentiment is significant. . .since just two weeks ago, we would have only played swing trades. . . now I am comfortable holding core positions and only selling swing positions on possible market tops.

I still feel we are in a trading range. . . and that this mornings knee jerk was just a few days premature. . .I think the market makers were expecting more. . . but traders are waiting for next weeks CPI before committing. As hard as it is to make gains and as easy as it is to lose them. . . I think the prudent move is the best. . . and agree that we should wait on the rest of June's numbers before going nuts. . . though I am still holding plenty of new core positions. . .and especially like my small caps.

I wouldn't read too much into today's trading, however. . .it is Friday. . .and NYC is in the 90's. . . meaning the Hamptons are looking great! So that is the more likely reason for todays slowing volume.

I've been impressed with the volume over the past few weeks. . . and am still anticipating all that sidelined cash giving a real boost to tech stocks when the inflation fear subsides. . . . .though I am playing as though we go sideways for the summer.

I am at the highest cash position in a few weeks today. . .but am also at the highest small cap exposure in months.

Hope that helps some.

Rande Is. . . on vacation. . . .well, uh. . er. . sorta
