There once was a man of St. Grimes
Whose limericks had but two lines.

Well, it almost rises to the level of poetry. Interesting.....

Desert Encounter

Across the sand I spied a naked beast,
Who held a scarlet object in his hand,
And gnawed at it voraciously, I asked
If it were flavorful, and he replied,
"Tis bitter, but its bitterness inflames,
My hunger, and I want it all the more----"
He lifted it, and I could plainly see
It was his heart he ate so lustily.

The Reply

A man shouts to the heavens "I exist",
To which replies the universe,"Desist,
The fact is quite indifferent to me".

Seek and Ye Shall Find

Through spaces of the night a spirit sped,
Calling out to God in frantic search,
Visiting all worlds, each mount and vale,
Shouting all the while with no response:
Into the blackness of the vacuous night,
He sped, while screaming "God" into the void,
Exhausted, in despair, he muttered low,
"There is no God"....And swiftly there arose,
A sword to smite him, and he fell into
Death's stark embrace.
